Class 2 Driver - Temp to Perm

We are seeking a reliable and skilled Class 2 Driver to join our client on a temp to perm basis. The ideal candidate will possess a strong background in commercial driving, with experience in delivery driving and a good understanding of mechanical operations. A good understanding of loading and strapping would be an advantage. This role involves transporting goods efficiently and safely while ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations. Responsibilities

• Operate lorries in a safe and efficient manner, adhering to all traffic laws and company policies.
• Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the vehicle to ensure it is in good working condition.
• Load and unload goods, ensuring they are secured properly for transport.
• Maintain accurate delivery records and communicate effectively with dispatch regarding any issues or delays.
• Provide excellent customer service during deliveries, addressing any inquiries or concerns from clients.
• Collaborate with warehouse staff to ensure timely loading and unloading of cargo.

Requirements

• Valid commercial driving licence (Class C)
• Proven delivery driver experience with a strong safety record.
• Strong communication skills to interact professionally with clients and team members.
• Ability to work independently or in a team and manage time effectively in a fast-paced environment.
• Valid CPC and Digital Tachograph Card
• Minimum 6 months driving experience preferred
• Good knowledge of local roads and delivery procedures
• Reliable, punctual and well-presented
