Year 6 Teacher – Full Time

Primary School | DN2 | September Start | Until June 2026

We are currently recruiting for a full-time Year 6 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in the DN2 area from September.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced primary teacher, or an ECT, to join a supportive school and play a key role in preparing pupils for and supporting them through their Year 6 SATs.

The Role

• Full-time Year 6 teaching position
• Starting in September
• Role is likely to continue until June 2026
• Supporting pupils with their learning and preparation in the lead-up to SATs
• Providing focused support and encouragement during the SATs period
• Planning and delivering engaging, effective lessons
• Working closely with colleagues to ensure pupils are well supported
• Maintaining high expectations of behaviour and achievement

The School

The school is looking for a committed and enthusiastic teacher who can build positive relationships with pupils and help them achieve their full potential during an important year of their primary education.

Experience of teaching Year 6 and SATs preparation would be advantageous, but ECTs are welcome to apply.

• A qualified teacher or ECT with QTS
• Experience within a primary school setting
• Strong classroom management and organisation skills
• A positive and engaging approach to teaching
• Confidence supporting pupils in preparation for SATs
• Excellent communication and teamwork skills
• A commitment to ensuring every pupil achieves their potential
