Randstad Education helps connect SEN teaching specialists with multi-academy trust provisions across South Yorkshire. The Trust primary schools feature progress units and nurture spaces designed for pupils with additional learning needs. These settings provide modern sensory equipment, structured adaptive learning tools, and multidisciplinary support teams.


Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Plan and deliver a sensory-rich curriculum for pupils with complex needs (e.g. SLD, PMLD, ASD, ADHD).

  • Design and implement targeted Education, Health and Care Plans (EHCPs) in partnership with the SENDCo.

  • Direct and mentor classroom support staff to ensure safe and highly effective learning interventions.

  • Cultivate a low-arousal, safe, and positive learning space that reduces anxiety and promotes growth.

  • Collaborate closely with speech and language therapists, educational psychologists, and parents.


Requirements for the Role
  • Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) with proven experience teaching in an SEN or alternative provision setting.

  • Knowledge of diverse learning strategies, PECS, Makaton, or sensory integration techniques.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS check registered on the Update Service (or a willingness to obtain one).

  • Exceptional resilience, emotional intelligence, and positive behaviour management skills.

  • Outstanding collaborative skills for working with a multidisciplinary support team.
