The post holder will be part of a team implementing new Workforce Delivery Models for Prisons (WDMs) across the adult prison estate. The WDMs describe delivery requirements for specific tasks and quantify the staff resource requirements to carry them out.
They will be required to carry out establishment visits, supporting the team leader in looking at all aspects of current prison resourcing and aligning them to the WDMs as a subject matter expert. They will need to have operational knowledge of the range of different prisons and prisoner cohorts to be able to accurately explain the nuances of the models and the impact they will have at site level.
A working knowledge of the data used to develop the models will also be required and the ability to analyse data and develop products to support this analysis, alongside presenting this data to the Operational Line.
The role is based in the HMPPS Workforce and Capability group, within the Transforming Delivery Directorate. The job holder will be required to travel extensively to visit sites and for central review meetings in London and other MoJ offices. Regular overnight stays may be involved dependant on distance travelled.
