About the role


Investment Officer (Data)
Location: Oakwood Drive, Loughborough, Leicestershire, LE11 3QF,

* Pay rate: £13.75 per hour
* Working days/hours: Mon-Fri, 7.2-hour days, 36 hours per week
* Hybrid - 1 day in the office; flexible homeworking
* Assignment length: 23/08/2027 (no extension indicated)
* Training: provided - No holidays to be taken during first 2 weeks of training
* Clearance: basic DBS - Cost covered by the hiring process


Help keep critical grant data accurate, compliant and decision-ready. In this role, you'll support the full grant lifecycle-ensuring information integrity, strong programme operations, and reliable statutory reporting.


What you'll be doing:
* Coordinate operational delivery of the Open Investment Programme, supporting progression of applications through the grant lifecycle
* Maintain accurate grant records, programme data and statutory datasets-ensuring information is complete, reliable and fit for reporting
* Carry out initial due diligence and programme administration in line with programme policies, governance requirements and service standards
* Support governance by coordinating peer review/decision processes, preparing documentation, recording outcomes and maintaining a full audit trail
* Communicate with applicants and grant recipients throughout the lifecycle to keep processes moving smoothly
* Support statutory reporting for Lottery and Exchequer investments, ensuring data is accurate, complete and compliant
* Validate, reconcile and cleanse data to improve quality, integrity and consistency across funding systems and datasets
* Produce and maintain programme performance information, supporting monitoring of key performance indicators
* Help deliver improvements to data and reporting from policy changes, system developments and evolving external reporting standards
* Contribute to a collaborative, inclusive and customer-focused team culture, while maintaining high standards of quality and professionalism


What you'll bring:
* Strong organisational skills to manage competing priorities and deliver to agreed timescales
* Excellent attention to detail-working accurately and consistently against agreed processes
* Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to build relationships with diverse stakeholders
* Confident digital skills (including Microsoft Office and business systems) to manage, analyse and present information effectively
* Experience working with data-validating information, spotting inaccuracies, and ensuring completeness and reliability for reporting
* Strong team working skills and a collaborative, proactive approach
* A data-quality mindset-curious, careful and committed to continuous improvement
