About the role

Play a key role in supporting the people who make our schools successful.

ACT Multi Academy Trust is seeking an organised, detail-focused and customer-oriented Payroll, Pensions and HR Officer to join our growing central team.

This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of payroll, pensions, recruitment administration and HR processes across our family of schools. Working closely with school leaders, administrators and the CFOO, you will help ensure that every employee receives an accurate and professional service throughout their employment journey, from recruitment and onboarding through to payroll, pensions and employee record management.

The role combines technical administration, compliance and people support. You will lead the operational delivery of payroll and pensions processes, coordinate safer recruitment activity, maintain accurate HR records and contribute to workforce reporting and planning. Your work will play a vital role in ensuring that staffing information, payroll data and workforce records remain accurate, compliant and audit-ready.

As ACT continues to grow, this role offers the opportunity to contribute to the development of Trust-wide systems, controls and processes that support consistency, efficiency and excellent employee experience across all schools. You will join a supportive and collaborative team committed to professional development, continuous improvement and delivering outstanding services to our schools.

This role would suit an experienced payroll or HR professional looking to broaden their expertise, develop specialist knowledge in education sector payroll and pensions, and make a meaningful contribution to an organisation dedicated to improving outcomes for children and young people.

Why join ACT?

  • A varied and rewarding role with Trust-wide impact.
  • Opportunities to develop expertise in payroll, pensions and HR administration.
  • Exposure to all aspects of the employee lifecycle.
  • A supportive team environment with opportunities for professional development.
  • The chance to make a real difference behind the scenes in helping schools succeed.
