Job description

Join our End User Services team and help improve the technology experience for colleagues across Defra. This role offers a unique opportunity to support Assistive Technology services while contributing to service improvements that make everyday technology easier to access, use and support.

You will work with users, suppliers and service teams to understand needs, solve problems and identify opportunities to improve services. You will help ensure colleagues can access the tools and support they need to work effectively, while helping shape improvements that benefit users across the organisation.

This is a varied role that combines service delivery, user experience, accessibility and product management. You will support improvement initiatives, explore opportunities for automation and simplification, and help turn user insight into practical changes that improve outcomes for colleagues.

It is an excellent opportunity for someone who enjoys working with people, solving problems and making services better. You'll gain valuable experience across digital services, accessibility, service improvement and product management while delivering work that has a visible impact on users.

Person specification

Responsibilities:

- Support the delivery and improvement of Assistive Technology services.
- Work with users and stakeholders to understand needs and improve outcomes.
- Identify opportunities to simplify processes and improve the user experience.
- Use insight and evidence to support service and product decisions.
- Deliver agreed improvements and contribute to team priorities.

Skills and experience:

- Experience supporting the delivery of a service, product or operational function.
- Ability to understand user needs and identify practical improvements.
- Experience using information or evidence to support decisions and outcomes.
- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities.
- Ability to build effective working relationships with a range of stakeholders.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with others.
