Key Roles & Responsibilities
  • Support individuals and small groups of pupils to grasp core literacy and numeracy concepts.

  • Assist in the delivery of tailored education plans for pupils with additional needs (SEND).

  • Help maintain a highly organised, safe, and positive learning environment within the classroom.

  • Support the lead teacher by preparing creative resources, activities, and educational displays.

  • Provide active, attentive supervision during outdoor break times, assemblies, and school excursions.


Requirements for the Role
  • Prior experience working in a child-centred environment (e.g. classrooms, nurseries, youth work).

  • Minimum GCSE Grade C/4 or equivalent in both English Language and Mathematics.

  • A warm, empathetic, and flexible approach to managing varied classroom tasks.

  • A valid Enhanced DBS check on the Update Service (or a willingness to complete one with us).

  • Excellent communication skills to work seamlessly with pupils, teachers, and external visitors.
