Tonge Moor Primary Academy is on an exciting journey. Tonge Moor Primary Academy is a vibrant and ambitious primary school at the heart of its community in Bolton. As part of The Quill C of E Trust, the Academy serves approximately 472 pupils aged 2 to 11.

  • Demonstrate the ability to inspire and motivate others.
  • Have high aspirations for all pupils and staff.
  • Be an effective strategic thinker with a clear educational vision.
  • Demonstrate resilience, integrity and accountability.

School Improvement

  • Have a strong understanding of effective teaching, learning and curriculum development.
  • Demonstrate a successful track record of raising standards and improving outcomes.
  • Have experience of leading change and managing school improvement priorities.
  • Be able to use data intelligently to drive improvement.

Safeguarding and Inclusion

  • Demonstrate an unwavering commitment to safeguarding.
  • Have a strong understanding of inclusion and SEND.
  • Be passionate about improving outcomes for disadvantaged and vulnerable pupils.

Partnership Working

  • Be an excellent communicator.
  • Build positive relationships with pupils, families, staff, governors and external partners.
  • Work collaboratively within a Trust environment.

Desirable

  • National Professional Qualification for Headship (NPQH) or equivalent.
  • Experience of working across more than one school.
  • Experience of leading within a Multi Academy Trust.
  • Experience of coaching and developing senior leaders.
