Milk Education is looking for a compassionate, approachable and positive Pastoral Support Assistant to join a welcoming Primary School in Hartlepool.

This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who enjoys building relationships, talking to children and helping pupils feel confident, safe and supported.

You’ll work closely with teachers and school staff to support pupils with their emotional wellbeing, confidence, relationships and engagement with school life.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Building strong and trusting relationships with pupils.
• Providing emotional and pastoral support.
• Helping children develop confidence and resilience.
• Supporting positive friendships and relationships.
• Encouraging pupils to engage positively with school.
• Running small-group activities around wellbeing and confidence.
• Celebrating pupil achievements and progress.
• Working alongside teachers and pastoral teams.
• Helping create an inclusive environment where every child feels valued.

• Have excellent communication skills.
• Enjoy helping children overcome challenges.
• Are patient, consistent and trustworthy.
• Have experience in education, childcare, youth work, mentoring, community work or similar.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
