Milk Education is looking for a Primary Intervention Assistant to support pupils across welcoming schools in Teesside.

You’ll work with children who need that extra bit of time, encouragement and attention to close learning gaps and build confidence.

This could be a fantastic opportunity for graduates, aspiring teachers, tutors, experienced TAs or anyone with a background supporting children.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting reading and phonics interventions.
• Helping pupils develop writing and spelling skills.
• Supporting maths catch-up sessions.
• Delivering engaging 1:1 and small-group activities.
• Helping pupils close gaps in their learning.
• Building confidence and encouraging children to keep trying.
• Adapting activities to individual learning needs.
• Tracking and celebrating progress.
• Working alongside teachers to support pupil development.

We’re Looking For Someone Who…

• Loves seeing children make progress.
• Is patient, encouraging and positive.
• Can make learning fun and engaging.
• Is confident working 1:1 and with small groups.
• Has experience in tutoring, education, childcare, nursery or youth work — desirable.
• Is a graduate or aspiring teacher.
• Has volunteering or placement experience working with children.
• Is reliable and ready to get stuck in.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
