Financial Analyst – African Markets

We are supporting a growing international organisation in the appointment of an experienced Financial Analyst to provide financial analysis, reporting and planning support across a portfolio of brands and businesses.

Reporting directly to the COO, the successful candidate will work closely with senior stakeholders, providing accurate financial information and translating complex data into meaningful commercial insights.

This is a broad Financial Analyst position combining FP&A, management reporting, historical data analysis and stakeholder engagement.

Candidates with experience working across African markets are particularly encouraged to apply, with Kenyan or Nigerian market experience considered highly advantageous.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare accurate financial and management reports across multiple brands and business areas.
• Analyse current and historical financial performance, identifying trends, risks and opportunities.
• Support budgeting, forecasting and wider FP&A activities.
• Develop financial models and analysis to support commercial and operational decision-making.
• Maintain and analyse financial information within Xero.
• Produce clear reports, presentations and financial insights for senior management.
• Work closely with the COO and other key stakeholders across the business.
• Track performance against budgets, forecasts and agreed financial KPIs.
• Improve existing reporting processes and help ensure financial information is accurate, consistent and easily understood.
• Support ad-hoc commercial and financial analysis as required.

Experience & Skills

The successful candidate should have:

• 3–4+ years’ experience in a Financial Analyst, FP&A or similar commercially focused finance position.
• Expert-level Xero skills.
• Strong financial reporting experience.
• Practical FP&A experience covering areas such as budgeting, forecasting and performance analysis.
• Strong ability to work with and interpret historical financial data.
• Advanced analytical skills and excellent attention to detail.
• Strong Excel/spreadsheet capabilities.
• Excellent presentation and communication skills.
• Confidence working directly with senior stakeholders.
• Experience working across multiple brands, entities or business areas.
• Previous experience within African markets, ideally Kenya and/or Nigeria.

Desirable

Previous experience within iGaming, betting or gaming would be highly advantageous, although it is not essential. Candidates from other fast-paced, multi-brand or digital businesses will also be considered.
