Salary: Grade 1 Point 1. Salary £24,458 (FTE), £3,690 (Actual)

Hours per week / Weeks per year: 6.67 hours per week for 38 weeks

About the role of Midday Assistant

Here at Compass Primary we would like you to consider becoming part of our dedicated team. We are looking for a Midday Assistant who is willing to work with our wonderful and enthusiastic children.

The Midday Assistant will be responsible for:

- supervising activities and maintaining the health, safety, welfare and safeguarding of pupils during the midday break with particular focus on the named child

- maintaining confidentiality at all times in respect of school-related matters and the named child and to prevent disclosure of confidential and sensitive information.

- monitoring pupil behaviour, discouraging anti-social and poor behaviour and dealing with incidents of inappropriate behaviour in line with the Academy’s Behaviour Policy

- dealing with minor injuries (having completed a one day first aid course), providing emotional support and liaising with first aiders and management as appropriate

- assisting children at meal times, encouraging good table manners

- setting up the dining area, cleaning, clearing, sweeping and putting away
