Site banksman

The Clancy Group Ltd, a prominent company in the construction and T&D sector, is currently seeking a Site Banksman to join their team on a contract basis. This pivotal role involves ensuring the safe and efficient movement of vehicles and machinery on-site, particularly with a focus on utilities and substation projects.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordinating and guiding the movement of vehicles and machinery around the construction site
• Ensuring safety procedures are followed during all lifting operations
• Communicating clearly with crane operators and other site personnel to ensure safe and precise operations
• Monitoring site activities to identify and mitigate potential hazards
• Maintaining clear and effective communication with all site workers
• Adhering to all health and safety regulations and site-specific rules
• Assisting with general site activities and supporting the site management team as required
• Conducting routine checks of equipment to ensure it is safe and fit for purpose

Job Requirements:

• Experience in the construction sector, ideally with experience in utilities or substation projects
• Relevant certifications including CSCS, Slinger/Signaller (Banksman), and IPAF
• Proficiency in coordinating heavy machinery and vehicle movements on construction sites
• Strong awareness of health and safety protocols
• Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively as part of a team
• Attention to detail and the ability to identify and resolve potential safety issues
• Capability to operate under pressure and adhere to strict safety standards
• Flexibility to work in different site conditions and adjust to varying project requirements
