About the Role
We are looking for a Dryliner with a Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) qualification for a Drylining Supervisor role based in Northampton. This is an immediate start and ongoing contract position. You will supervise the site team, ensuring health and safety standards are maintained at the highest level. Your role involves directing and supporting personnel through the drylining process to achieve quality and efficiency on site.
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Supervise and manage the drylining team on site, ensuring work is carried out safely, efficiently and to specification.
- Monitor daily site activities and progress, providing clear instructions and guidance to the workforce.
- Ensure compliance with health and safety legislation and company policies, maintaining a high standard of site safety.
- Conduct regular site inspections and risk assessments to identify and mitigate potential hazards.
- Coordinate materials and resources to ensure uninterrupted workflow and timely completion of tasks.
- Communicate effectively with project managers, subcontractors, and other stakeholders to report progress and issues.
- Support training and development of site personnel to enhance skills and knowledge in drylining techniques.
- Maintain accurate records of site activities, including daily logs and safety documentation.
- Ensure all drylining installations meet quality standards and project specifications.
Required Qualifications
- Site Supervisors’ Safety Training Scheme (SSSTS) certificate.
- Valid Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) card.
- Current First Aid at Work certificate.
Education and Experience
- Proven experience working as a dryliner with a strong understanding of drylining processes and materials.
- Previous supervisory experience on construction sites, preferably within drylining or related trades.
- Knowledge of site safety procedures and construction regulations.
Knowledge and Skills
- Comprehensive knowledge of drylining techniques, materials and installation methods.
- Strong leadership and team management skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise effectively with site teams and management.
- Ability to interpret technical drawings and specifications accurately.
- Good organisational and time management skills to prioritise tasks and meet deadlines.
- Attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship.
Working Conditions
- Full-time contract role based on site in Northamptonshire, East Midlands.
- Work primarily outdoors in varying weather conditions with some indoor site work.
- Requirement to adhere strictly to health and safety regulations at all times.
- Physical activity involved, including site inspections and occasional manual handling.
- Flexibility to work extended hours as necessary to meet project deadlines.
