We are seeking a passionate, highly motivated, and experienced Social Worker or Higher Specialist Social Worker – Domestic Abuse to join our Children’s Single Point of Access (CSPoA) service. This is a fast-paced, front-door service that plays a critical role in ensuring that children, young people, and families receive the right help at the right time.

As a Social Worker within our Children's Single Point of Access team, you will provide expert leadership and guidance in all matters relating to domestic abuse, supporting the service to deliver safe, timely, and effective responses to referrals. Working closely with the Team Manager, you will be responsible for shaping the strategy, development, and continuous improvement of our response to domestic abuse within CSPoA, ensuring best practice and compliance with safeguarding frameworks.
You will act as a subject matter expert, offering consultation, advice, and support to colleagues and partner agencies on complex domestic abuse cases. A key part of your role will involve analysing referrals, contributing to risk assessments, and ensuring that children and adult victims are safeguarded effectively.

You will represent the service at multi-agency forums, contributing to partnership working across health, education, police, and voluntary sector organisations. In addition, you will play a significant role in workforce development by designing and delivering training, sharing best practice, and promoting a culture of learning and professional curiosity.

The successful candidate will have substantial experience in domestic abuse within a social work setting and demonstrate specialist knowledge in safeguarding both children and adults. You will be confident in managing complex risk, making defensible decisions, and influencing practice across teams and partner agencies.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced practitioner who is passionate about improving outcomes for children and families, has strong leadership skills, and is committed to driving high-quality, trauma-informed practice within a dynamic front-door service.
Working as part of a multi-agency team, you’ll gather, review and evaluate information to make timely and informed decisions that safeguard and promote the welfare of children. This is a non-case holding role, ideal for professionals who thrive in a dynamic environment and want to make an immediate impact.
