Core Trainee (SHO) - Obstetrics & Gynaecology (Night) - Daisy Hill Hospital
Locum Core Trainee (SHO) position in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at Daisy Hill Hospital, Southern Health and Social Care Trust. This is an overnight shift (21:00–09:15) providing out-of-hours cover within the O&G department.
The role involves providing overnight obstetric and gynaecological cover, managing admissions to the labour ward, assessing emergency presentations, and supporting the midwifery team. You will be responsible for reviewing patients in early pregnancy, managing acute gynaecological emergencies, and assisting with emergency procedures including emergency caesarean sections.
Daisy Hill Hospital serves the Newry and Mourne area with a busy maternity unit. The O&G department provides comprehensive obstetric and gynaecological services including 24-hour emergency cover.
Requirements: SHO/CT level training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology or equivalent experience, valid GMC registration with licence to practise, right to work in the UK, up-to-date DBS/AccessNI clearance, and professional indemnity insurance.
