Job Responsibilities
- Operate production equipment safely and efficiently in line with standard operating procedures.
- Carry out routine checks and basic maintenance tasks to keep machinery running to specification.
- Monitor production output and quality, reporting any issues promptly to the relevant lead.
- Follow health and safety procedures, including safe working practices and correct use of PPE.
- Complete production documentation accurately, including batch/shift records where required.
- Support continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to reduce waste and improve throughput.
- Work effectively with colleagues across the shift to maintain smooth production flow.
- Maintain a clean and organised work area in line with housekeeping standards.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Previous experience in a production or manufacturing environment (preferred).
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality.
- Ability to follow written procedures and work instructions accurately.
- Good understanding of health and safety practices, including safe systems of work.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and the ability to perform routine checks on equipment.
- Comfort working in a fast-paced, shift-based environment.
- Good communication skills and the ability to report issues clearly.
- Numeracy and literacy skills sufficient to complete production records.
- Experience working with manufacturing processes and production targets (advantageous).
- Relevant safety training such as manual handling and/or COSHH awareness (advantageous).
