We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate NVQ Level 3 qualified Teaching Assistant to join a welcoming and thriving primary school in Brierley Hill from September 2026.

This is a full-time role supporting a high-needs child on a 1:1 basis within a Year 1 classroom. The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher and wider support team to ensure the child can access learning and make excellent progress both academically and socially.

• Hold an NVQ Level 3 Teaching Assistant qualification (essential)
• Have experience supporting children with additional and complex needs
• Be calm, patient and resilient in challenging situations

• Be reliable, committed and professional at all times
• Have excellent communication and teamwork skills
• Be passionate about helping children reach their full potential

Role Responsibilities

• Provide dedicated 1:1 support for a high-needs pupil in Year 1
• Implement support strategies and interventions as directed
• Work alongside the class teacher to facilitate learning
• Promote positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
• Support the pupil’s social development and independence
• Maintain accurate records and contribute to review meetings where required
