PMO Lead

PMO Lead - Aberdeen Hybrid (3 days onsite) - 3 month contract

I have an immediate contract role available for an experienced PMO to take on hands-on project and programme delivery with ownership of programme-level governance and PMO standards.

You will put in place practical frameworks, controls and reporting that support effective decisions as the organisation matures. You'll help define how projects are set up, governed and reported, ensuring delivery activity and portfolio oversight stay joined up.

I am therefore keen to speak with candidates who have:

• Proven experience delivering complex or high-risk projects or programmes to agreed time, cost and quality.
• Strong background in applying and adapting project management tools and methodologies to immature or evolving environments.
• Practical experience in active risk and issue management, including shaping risk strategies and making informed decisions.
• Track record of engaging a wide range of stakeholders, with confidence dealing with senior leaders in writing and in person.
• Proactive communication and influencing style, with a solutions-focused approach to delivery challenges.
• Comfortable working with a high degree of autonomy in an environment with ambiguity, change and competing priorities.
• Holding, or working towards, a recognised project management accreditation (for example PRINCE2, MSP, Agile PM, APM or equivalent).
