Temporary Administrator / Customer Service Administrator
**Location:** Derby, Pride Park
**Salary:** £14.00 per hour
**Contract:** 6-Month Fixed-Term Contract
**Working Pattern:** Full-Time, Office-Based
The Opportunity
We’re currently recruiting for a **Temporary Administrator / Customer Service Administrator** to join a large, well-established organisation based in **Pride Park, Derby**, on an initial **6-month fixed-term contract**.
This is a great opportunity for an organised and proactive Administrator who enjoys working in a busy environment, coordinating information and communicating with a wide range of people.
You’ll join a friendly and supportive team and play an important role in helping operational teams plan and complete essential work efficiently and compliantly.
## What Will You Be Doing?
Your role will involve a mixture of administration, coordination and stakeholder communication, including:
* Preparing and maintaining accurate job information and work packs.
* Ensuring all relevant information is available before work is scheduled.
* Liaising with internal teams, customers and external suppliers to gather information.
* Coordinating requirements such as traffic management and access arrangements.
* Communicating with local authorities and other external stakeholders where required.
* Updating systems and maintaining accurate records.
* Supporting operational teams by ensuring they have everything they need to complete their work.
* Managing multiple jobs and priorities at the same time.
* Responding quickly and efficiently to urgent or emergency requests.
* Providing a high level of customer service throughout the process.
* Ensuring all documentation and processes are completed accurately and compliantly.
What We’re Looking For
We’re looking for someone who is **organised, methodical and confident communicating with different people**.
You don’t necessarily need experience in the utilities sector. We’re more interested in finding someone with strong administration and coordination skills who can pick things up quickly.
You’ll ideally have:
* Previous experience in an administrative, coordination or customer service role.
* Excellent attention to detail.
* Strong organisational and time-management skills.
* Good written and verbal communication skills.
* Confidence dealing with different stakeholders.
* The ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
* A proactive approach and willingness to learn.
* The ability to remain calm and organised when working under pressure.
* Good IT skills and confidence using computer systems.
Experience within utilities, construction, planning, scheduling or a similar operational environment would be advantageous, but isn’t essential.
## Working Hours
This role operates across a working window of **06:30 – 20:00**, with shifts worked on an **11-week rota**.
You’ll be required to work **2 weekends within every 11-week period**.
There are also some additional benefits to the rota, including finishing **30 minutes earlier every Friday** when working an early/day shift, or starting **30 minutes later on a Friday** when working a late shift.
What’s On Offer?
* £14.00 per hour
* 6-month fixed-term contract
* Based at a modern office in Pride Park, Derby
* Free onsite parking
* Excellent local transport links
* Full training and support provided
* Opportunity to gain experience within a large and well-established organisation
* Opportunity to develop your administration, coordination and customer service experience
Why Apply?
This is a great opportunity for someone looking for a **6-month temporary/FTC role** where no two days are quite the same.
You’ll be joining a large team, gaining valuable experience within a complex operational environment and developing your administration, coordination and customer service skills.
If you’re organised, enjoy working with people and are looking for your next opportunity in **Derby**, we’d love to hear from you.
**Interested? Apply now or get in touch for a confidential conversation about the role.**
