Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse

About the Role

Candor Vets is delighted to be working with a well-established client to recruit a Lead Registered Veterinary Nurse for their brand-new veterinary hospital in Hull, opening in January 2027. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader with a passion for both clinical work and team management to play a pivotal role in establishing and growing a new hospital team.

Key Responsibilities

• Able to carry out all aspects of nursing.

• Actively encourage staff development, mentoring and best practice.

• Be experienced in carrying out 1-2-1 meetings with staff members.

• You will be a clinical coach or want to become a clinical coach with support.

• Have experience in rota management or be keen to develop this skillset.

• Happy to oversee clinic compliance such as Health and Safety and RCVS Practice Standards scheme criteria.

• Oversee stock management within the clinic.

• Carry out regular staff meetings.

• Have good commercial awareness with a tenacity to grow caseload, allowing more pets to access great, but affordable healthcare.
