Maths Teacher Vacancy in Barnsley
Provide Education are seeking a motivated and experienced Maths Teacher to join a secondary school in Barnsley from September 2026.
This full-time teaching opportunity is initially available from September until Christmas 2026, with the possibility of the role continuing for longer. It would suit a qualified teacher who is looking for a new opportunity within a supportive secondary school environment.
The successful candidate will teach Maths across both Key Stage 3 and Key Stage 4, helping students develop their mathematical knowledge, confidence and problem-solving skills. Experience of teaching towards GCSE Maths is highly desirable.

About the Maths Teacher Role
The successful Maths Teacher will deliver well-planned, engaging lessons that challenge and support students across a range of abilities.
Key responsibilities will include:

• Teaching Mathematics across KS3 and KS4
• Planning and delivering engaging and differentiated lessons
• Preparing and supporting students working towards GCSE Maths
• Monitoring, assessing and recording student progress
• Adapting teaching to meet different learning needs
• Promoting positive behaviour and maintaining effective classroom management
• Working closely with colleagues within the Maths department
• Developing positive and professional relationships with students
• Supporting the wider aims and values of the school

What We Are Looking For:
The school is looking for a dedicated Secondary Maths Teacher who can confidently deliver the curriculum and make a positive impact on student outcomes.
The successful applicant should ideally:

• Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
• Have previous experience teaching Maths in a secondary school
• Be confident teaching KS3 and KS4
• Have strong mathematical subject knowledge
• Have a good understanding of the GCSE Maths curriculum
• Have effective classroom management skills
• Be committed to raising achievement and supporting student development
• Be able to establish positive relationships with pupils
• Be available for a full-time role from September 2026

Pay & Benefits
The Maths Teacher will receive up to £240 per day, with pay to scale from Day 1.
