Provide Education are recruiting for multiple Humanities Teachers to work across secondary schools in Barnsley from September 2026.
We have a variety of History and Geography teaching opportunities available for the new academic year, with positions across different secondary schools throughout Barnsley.
Whether you specialise in History, Geography or Humanities, we want to hear from you. We have opportunities available across KS3 and KS4, including roles involving GCSE teaching, so knowledge of the relevant GCSE curriculum is highly desirable.

We are working with a number of secondary schools and can offer a range of opportunities, including:

The specific year groups, timetables and teaching requirements will differ between schools.

What We Are Looking For
We are keen to speak with qualified History and Geography Teachers who are looking for teaching work in Barnsley from September.
The ideal candidate will:

  • Hold QTS or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification
  • Have experience teaching History or Geography in a secondary school
  • Be confident teaching KS3 and/or KS4
  • Have strong subject knowledge
  • Ideally have experience teaching GCSE
  • Have effective classroom management skills
  • Be passionate about their subject and committed to raising student achievement
  • Build positive relationships with pupils and colleagues
  • Be available to work from September 2026
