About the role
Kenect Recruitment seeking a dedicated and skilled Warehouse Operative to join our client’s warehouse team in Dalkeith. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in the efficient handling of materials, stored, and prepared for shipping in a safe and organised manner.
Duties
- Load and unload materials from trucks and containers
- Assist with order picking and ensure accurate fulfillment of orders
- Production line work
- Stock check
- Recording in and out deliveries
- Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the warehouse environment
- Collaborate with warehouse supervisors to optimize workflow and efficiency
Skills
- Experience in warehouse distribution and materials handling
- Knowledge of warehouse management systems for tracking inventory
- Familiarity with shipping and receiving processes
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks safely and efficiently
- Previous experience as an order picker or in a similar role
- Strong attention to detail with the ability to work independently or as part of a team
Hours
- Immediate start
- Ongoing, long term work
- Monday to Friday
- 0800-1615
- From £12.21 per hour, paid weekly
- Overtime available
