Location: Barnet, London
Salary: £40,372–£59,864 per annum
Contract: Full-time, long-term temporary
Start Date: 8 September 2026
Are you a KS1 Teacher who can combine high expectations with the warmth and encouragement younger pupils need?
Teach Now is seeking an experienced KS1 Teacher for a welcoming primary school in Barnet. You will take responsibility for a Key Stage 1 class, delivering engaging teaching while helping pupils develop strong foundations in reading, writing, mathematics and independent learning.
Key responsibilities:
Planning and delivering high-quality KS1 lessons
Teaching phonics and early reading effectively
Assessing progress and responding to gaps in learning
Adapting teaching for pupils with SEND and different starting points
Establishing positive behaviour, routines and classroom expectations
Working closely with Teaching Assistants and phase colleagues
Building effective relationships with parents and carers
You will need:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
Recent UK KS1 teaching experience
Strong knowledge of the KS1 National Curriculum
Secure phonics and early-reading practice
Effective classroom and behaviour management
A strong commitment to safeguarding and inclusion
Salary is dependent on experience and qualifications and will be agreed within the advertised range.
