Management Accountant | Tewkesbury (Hybrid) | £35,000 - £40,000 + Study (if applicable)

About the Role

Are you a personable, ambitious accountant looking to progress your career in a supportive, cross-disciplinary team? We are looking for a Management Accountant to join a close-knit and highly collaborative finance function in Tewkesbury.

Working closely with the Financial Controller and Assistant Financial Controller, you will play a central role in delivering accurate management reporting, driving process improvements, and partnering directly with operational business leads. This role is ideal for an active studier (CIMA/ACCA/ACA) or newly qualified accountant who thrives in a team-oriented environment and enjoys working across different departments.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with the end-to-end production of monthly management accounts within agreed timescales, investigating key budget and forecast variances.
• Perform balance sheet reconciliations (Cash, Fixed Assets, AP, Intercompany, Accruals/Prepayments) and manage income booking from policy admin systems.
• Prepare statutory reporting and VAT returns
• Meet regularly with project managers and business leads for project tracking, weekly flash forecasting, and annual budgeting support.
• Review work produced by Accounts Assistants
• Identify opportunities to enhance finance systems, reporting, and process efficiency while assisting with ad-hoc projects.

Your Profile:

• Qualifications: Part-Qualified, Finalist, or Newly Qualified (CIMA, ACCA, ACA, or equivalent). Study Support provided.
• Interpersonal Skills: Warm, personable, and collaborative - able to build strong relationships across non-finance teams and senior leadership.
• Technical Mindset: Strong attention to detail with proven experience in balance sheet reconciliations, variance analysis, and management accounts prep.
