About the role

The Contracts Manager is a business partner who independently reviews, drafts and negotiates a wide variety of commercial contracts. They issue monthly contracts bulletins and provides regular contracts trainings and risk advice to the business. Independently drafts, reviews, negotiates both customer and supplier agreements, real estate leases, software licenses, purchase, sales, insurance contacts, etc. Develops and negotiates tailored agreements to address the unique needs of the business and specific transactions. Ensures that contracts are in compliance with legal, regulatory and company policies. Regularly develops and delivers contracts trainings. Conducts regulatory, and business-related research and reviews various agreements and documents. Acts as escalation point for Paralegals who have contract questions or issues. Participates in special projects where the experience, ability or expertise of a contracts professional merits involvement Adheres to internal standards, policies and procedures. Provides strategic advice to business stakeholders, including Vice President-level executives and other senior leaders, on deal structuring, risk allocation, and other transaction-related matters. Supports the integration of newly acquired entities by evaluating the adequacy of existing contract templates, revising as necessary to align with SGS risk tolerance and contracting standards, and developing new agreement templates where appropriate. Advises the business on commercial issues, contract interpretation, and contractual disputes. Helps develop and maintain contract playbooks, negotiation guidance, fallback positions, and standard agreement templates to support efficient and consistent contract negotiations. Demonstrates a willingness to take on a broad range of commercial matters as needed to support the Legal team and business objectives. Education and Experience Bachelors degree 5+ years of experience as a contracts professional, with a demonstrated ability to independently review, negotiate, and finalize a broad range of commercial and government contracts, including cross-border and multi-jurisdictional agreements, RFPs, and other complex procurement and contracting documents. Licenses/ Certifications NCMA membership Knowledge/ Skills/ Abilities Language Skills – Advanced English Ability to manage and coordinate multiple projects in a fast-paced, highly professional environment. Analytical, problem solving, interpersonal, negotiation and legal reasoning skills Ability to work effectively and efficiently with others and coordinate a variety of internal and external activities having legal significance to the Company Ability to manage issues and workload independently with minimal supervision Strong organizational skills Computer Skills - Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) and CoPilot Compensation The expected salary range for this position is $95,000 – $120,000 annually. This range represents the minimum and maximum base salary we reasonably expect to pay for this role. Actual compensation within the range will depend on skills, experience, and qualifications.
