Hybrid

We believe that through collaboration and connection with our colleagues we can achieve great things. Our hybrid working approach allows our people to work both in the office and at home, providing the flexibility and resources you need to succeed in your role. We don't require you to be in on specific days; instead, we ask people to come into the office 2-3 days each week, for at least 8 days per month. You should work with your line manager to understand what their expectations are for you, your specific role and your team.

We’re creating more than the UK’s best network. We’re helping close the digital divide, empower communities and drive meaningful progress.

We move at pace, because what we’re building matters – and we’re learning as we go. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made, but we’re just getting started.

Join our UK Networks team, where we’re continually building and enhancing our network, connecting millions of people and businesses across the country. Be part of the team that makes it all happen – simplifying, automating, and bringing better connectivity than ever before, with giga-fast speed, to our customers.

What you’ll do

The CS&I team is responsible for defining and continuously improving ND&I's end-to-end processes, ensuring teams operate through clear, consistent, and efficient ways of working, supported by the right tools and governance.

As a Process Designer, you will play a key role in driving process improvement and transformation initiatives across ND&I and the wider Network organisation. Working closely with subject matter experts, stakeholders, suppliers, and operational teams, you'll analyse current processes, identify improvement opportunities, and help design future-state processes that improve efficiency, effectiveness, and user experience.

You'll support the full change lifecycle, from understanding business challenges and documenting current ("As-Is") processes, through to designing improved ("To-Be") processes, implementing change, measuring adoption, and ensuring benefits are realised and sustained.

The role also supports process governance, performance reporting, process mining, automation initiatives, and the development of training materials to support successful change adoption.

Key Responsibilities

  • Gather, map, and document business processes, requirements, and improvement opportunities.

  • Analyse current processes and identify opportunities for simplification, efficiency, automation, and cost reduction.

  • Design and implement future-state processes, ensuring alignment with process management standards, policies, and best practices.

  • Facilitate workshops with stakeholders to identify process improvements, resolve issues, and drive continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Track actions, risks, and deliverables through to successful completion.

  • Define, collect, analyse, and report on process performance metrics and KPIs.

  • Support process mining and automation initiatives to improve operational performance.

  • Develop training materials, user guides, and communications to support process adoption and change management.

  • Measure process adoption, monitor realised benefits, and ensure improvements are embedded within the organisation.

  • Build strong relationships with stakeholders across ND&I and Network teams to drive collaboration and successful delivery of change.

Who You Are

  • Delivery-focused with a strong sense of urgency, while maintaining a structured approach, attention to detail, and a proactive problem-solving mindset.

  • Comfortable working in complex and ambiguous environments, with the ability to analyse issues and identify practical solutions.

  • Demonstrated experience driving process simplification, continuous improvement, and operational efficiency initiatives.

  • Strong business analysis skills, including requirements gathering, stakeholder interviews, documentation, and requirements management.

  • Experienced in creating and maintaining process documentation, procedures, work instructions, and process maps.

  • Proficient in Business Process Management (BPM) tools such as Signavio, ARIS, and Visio for process modelling and analysis.

  • Solid understanding of process governance, process design best practices, and continuous improvement methodologies.

  • Excellent stakeholder management and collaboration skills, with the ability to engage, influence, and build effective relationships across multiple teams and functions.
