About the role
About this job
The purpose of the Council’s parking department is to provide a safe, fair, consistent and transparent service which meets the need of our residents, businesses and visitors, in line with key requirements of our parking strategy.
This post will play a key role within the parking design team which focuses on the development, design, consultation and delivery of complex parking projects including the controlled parking zone programme, new development parking strategies, electric vehicle charging and car club initiatives, which aims to challenge car owner behaviours and reduce parking stress, provide safer and improved parking for road users, reduce congestion and improve air quality and health.
Special requirements for this post
The specific responsibilities of the post relate to the delivery/project management of various parking projects including those relating to new housing development, parking maintenance, electric vehicle and car clubs, parking policy and CPZ programme delivery.
About you
You will be someone who is enthusiastic about changing parking behaviours for the better and passionate about driving improvements around air quality, car ownership, sustainability, health and road safety.
As a project officer you will be required to take ownership of assigned project and ensure they are delivery accurately and on time
