  • Take ownership of files and provide clear, practical and compassionate legal advice.
  • Build strong and trusted relationships with clients and relevant external professionals.
  • Supervise and mentor junior members of the team.

  • A minimum of 1 year’s PQE.
  • Experience independently running a full Family & Matrimonial caseload.
  • Strong experience across divorce, matrimonial finances and children matters.
  • Excellent communication and client-care skills.
  • The ability to provide clear, sensitive and practical advice to clients, often during difficult and emotional circumstances.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage competing priorities effectively.
  • Resilience and the ability to perform well under pressure.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Good IT skills and confidence using or learning case management systems.

Desirable Experience

The following would be advantageous but is not essential:

  • Experience handling complex family and matrimonial matters.
  • Previous experience within a Lexcel-accredited or similarly accredited law firm.
