Crawley, West Sussex Hardi & Co Ltd Are you an experienced Buyer with a background in engineering or manufacturing procurement? A well-established engineering company based in Crawley is looking for a Procurement Buyer to join their team. This is a great opportunity for a procurement professional who understands technical specifications, supplier management, and the pressures of a busy engineering supply chain. The Role: * Sourcing and purchasing components, materials, and services to support production/engineering requirements * Negotiating pricing, lead times, and terms with suppliers * Managing supplier relationships and monitoring performance (quality, delivery, cost) * Processing purchase orders and maintaining accurate procurement records * Working closely with engineering, production, and stores teams to ensure stock availability * Identifying cost-saving opportunities without compromising quality or lead time * Resolving supply chain issues and delivery delays proactively What We're Looking For: * Proven experience in a procurement/buying role within an engineering, manufacturing, or technical environment * Strong negotiation and supplier management skills * Ability to read technical drawings/specifications (desirable) * Experience using ERP/MRP systems for purchasing * Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail * Confident communicator, able to liaise across departments What's On Offer: * Salary: £30,000 - £35,000 * Permanent, full-time role based in Crawley * Opportunity to join a stable, established engineering business * Career development within a growing procurement function If you have engineering procurement experience and are looking for your next move, apply today
