Pertemps are recruiting for an experienced Adult’s Social Worker in North Tyneside
Overview
- As Assistant Team Manager, you will support the Team Manager in the operational leadership and performance management of the Mental Health Social Work and Reablement Team.
- Oversee assessment, review, and care planning functions to ensure efficient, effective service delivery.
- Drive quality standards and monitor performance to ensure compliance with statutory requirements and service priorities.
- Act as a key interface between frontline teams and senior leadership, ensuring clear communication and collaborative problem-solving.
- Provide structured supervision and guidance to Social Workers and Reablement Workers, promoting best practice and continuous improvement.
- Lead on safeguarding processes, chairing meetings and ensuring timely interventions.
- Deputise for the Team Manager and provide cross-cover for the Advanced Practitioner as required.
- Manage caseloads using allocation and prioritisation tools, ensuring timely, proportionate responses
- Provide regular professional supervision, ensuring adherence to statutory duties and organisational standards.
- Foster a culture of accountability, learning, and evidence-based practice.
- Support team performance, workflow, and service delivery targets.
- Champion strength-based, recovery-focused, and outcomes-driven practice in line with the Care Act 2014, Mental Health Act, and organisational values.
- Ensure assessments and support plans are timely, co-produced, and of high quality.
- Promote community assets, early intervention, and preventative approaches.
- Undertake quality audits and case file reviews, providing feedback to improve standards.
- Lead safeguarding enquiries and oversee Section 117 aftercare planning.
- Guide on risk assessments, Mental Capacity Act, and Deprivation of Liberty safeguards.
- Contribute to audits, service reviews, and quality assurance processes.
- Represent the service in multi-agency forums and strategic meetings.
- Support resource efficiency and budgetary controls.
