Technical Buyer

Our client, an industry leader in its sector, is looking for a dedicated and experienced Technical Buyer to join their team on a permanent basis. You will be responsible for managing the cost-effective procurement of materials, goods, and services to support business requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Ensuring purchase orders are placed in a timely manner to support demand
• Ensuring materials arrive on the purchase order required date
• Maintaining supplier details on the ERP system
• Building solid working relationships with suppliers
• Monitoring performance and managing improvements
• Keeping PO delivery dates current on SAP
• Collaborating with the Supply Chain team to manage core suppliers in specialized commodity groups
• Carrying out tasks and duties as required by Senior Management

Job Requirements:

• Experience as a Senior Buyer or Buyer
• Competency in using MS Office Suite, including Excel, Word & Outlook
• Experience with ERP systems
• Experience in a manufacturing environment
• Competency in one or more of these commodity groups: Engines and Mechanicals, Composites
• Ability to read technical drawings and understand technical data
• Professional and entrepreneurial attitude
• Excellent communication and assertiveness skills
• Flexible, reliable, and self-motivated
• Ability to multi-task and work under pressure to meet multiple project deadlines
