Freelance Bid Writer

Atkins Search have an exciting opportunity for a Bid Writer to join the collaborative team of a family-owned, region-leading construction main contractor in the West Midlands.

Our client is a longstanding business with an enviable reputation for delivering framework lead projects across the East Midlands, working with a select group of clients and developers on tendered and negotiated projects.



Operating in both the public and private sectors, our client has a steady flow of tenders and are focused on quality projects. 





Role



Operating as part of an award-winning Preconstruction team, you would be working alongside an experienced Bid specialist, supported by a wider Pre-construction team to assist in writing high-quality

bids and tenders.



You will have an opportunity to utilise your creative writing skills to deliver award-winning bids and build a successful career within a family owned, team-oriented organisation.  



Responsibilities

Preparing Pre-qualification Questionnaires (PPQs), Request for Quotations (RFQs) and selection questionnaires (SQs) for tenders
Format large bid proposal documents
Working with written content & graphics to specification
Create impactful, well designed bid / proposal documentation ready for submission
Create additional supporting content for the bid / tender / proposal to ensure a successful bid e.g. printed models / large-format printing
Efficient completion of tender formatting within set timelines, keeping in mind the overall submission deadline
Review win/ no win bids to identify areas of improvement and positive client results
Assist in the design and completion of storyboards and bid plans


Person

Have a keen eye for detail
Exceptional organisation skills
Desire to succeed and progress
Ability to demonstrate document control processes and procedures
Proficient in the use of Adobe Suite, MS Office and/or InDesign
