Milk Education is looking for an energetic and enthusiastic Sports & Activities Teaching Assistant to work within Primary Schools across Darlington.

This role is perfect for someone with a background in sport, coaching, fitness, youth work, outdoor activities or education who wants to bring their energy into the classroom.

You’ll support pupils through PE, active learning, playground activities and classroom sessions while helping children build confidence, teamwork and positive relationships.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Supporting PE lessons and physical activities.
• Encouraging children to get active and involved.
• Helping pupils develop teamwork and communication skills.
• Building confidence through sport and activities.
• Supporting children who may struggle to engage in traditional classroom learning.
• Helping with playground and lunchtime activities.
• Getting involved in wider enrichment activities.
• Supporting classroom learning when required.
• Being a positive role model for pupils.

• Energetic, enthusiastic and not afraid to get involved!
• Passionate about sport, activities or working with children.
• Confident communicating with young people.
• Reliable, adaptable and positive.
• Experienced in coaching, sport, childcare, education or youth work — desirable.
• A graduate or aspiring teacher looking to gain school experience.
• Someone with volunteering or placement experience working with children.

This role is paid within the advertised pay scale. Your starting rate will be determined by your qualifications, relevant experience, and the requirements of the assignment.
