About the Role

DC Personnel are recruiting on behalf of our client for a reliable and hardworking Fitter’s Mate to join their established signage manufacturing and installation team in Leicester.

This is a hands-on role supporting experienced installers with the fitting of commercial signage, built-up letters and illuminated signage at customer sites.

Key Responsibilities

Assist experienced sign fitters with the installation of signage.
Load, unload and transport signage and installation equipment.
Assist with fixing, assembly and positioning of signage.
Use hand and basic power tools safely.
Support with illuminated signage and LED installations.
Work safely at customer premises and on installation sites.
Follow instructions and complete work to a high standard.
Maintain tools, equipment and vehicles in a clean and organised condition.
Work as part of a team to meet installation deadlines.
Assist with general workshop duties when required.

About You
The successful candidate will have:

A practical and hands-on approach.
Good attention to detail.
A willingness to learn and develop within the signage industry.
Good reliability and timekeeping.
Ability to work as part of a team.
Good communication skills.
A positive attitude and willingness to work at customer sites.
Ability to follow health and safety procedures.
Previous experience in sign fitting, construction, engineering, fabrication or a similar hands-on environment would be advantageous but is not essential.

What We Offer
£25,000–£28,000 per annum, depending on experience.
Full-time, permanent position.
40 hours per week, Monday–Friday.
