The Opportunity

Zest4Talent is delighted to be partnering with a growing and highly respected Building Compliance consultancy to recruit an Air Tightness Tester for its expanding technical team.

This is a field-based position covering projects across London and the South East. You do not need to live in London, provided you are based within approximately one hour’s travel of the capital and are comfortable travelling to different sites.

Whether you are currently ATTMA Level 1 qualified and looking to progress or are already working at Level 2, you will receive ongoing support with your professional development. This will include opportunities to work towards ATTMA Level 2 and receive training in Sound Insulation Testing.

You will join an experienced and supportive technical team, working across a varied portfolio of residential and commercial developments. This is an excellent opportunity to broaden your technical expertise and develop a long-term career within Building Compliance.

Key Responsibilities

As an Air Tightness Tester, your responsibilities will include:

• Carrying out Air Pressure Testing in accordance with current ATTMA standards.
• Producing accurate test reports and certification.
• Advising clients and site teams on how to improve air-permeability results where required.
• Liaising professionally with developers, contractors and other construction professionals.
• Managing your workload and travel across London and the South East.
• Maintaining accurate records and meeting required technical standards.
• Delivering excellent customer service throughout each project.

About You

To be considered for this position, you will need:

• ATTMA Level 1 qualification as a minimum.
• Previous experience carrying out Air Tightness Testing.
• A full UK driving licence.
• The flexibility to travel to sites across London and the South East.
• Strong communication and organisational skills.
• The ability to manage your own workload effectively.
• A proactive and positive approach to your work.
• A genuine desire to develop your skills and career.

Desirable Experience

It would be beneficial if you also have:

• ATTMA Level 2 qualification.
• Experience carrying out Sound Insulation Testing.
• Knowledge of wider Building Compliance services.
• Experience working on residential new-build developments.
• Experience working across both residential and commercial projects.
