Secondary Teaching Assistant – DN3 – Immediate Start

Provide Education are working with a secondary school in the DN3 area who are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join their team from September 2026.
This role will involve supporting students across KS3 and KS4 both in the classroom and on a more individual basis where required. The successful candidate will work with pupils with a range of additional and learning needs, helping them access lessons, stay engaged and develop their confidence and independence.
You will work closely with teachers and other support staff, providing practical and pastoral support throughout the school day.

What We’re Looking For:

• Experience working with children or young people is desirable
• A patient, calm and supportive approach
• Strong communication and relationship-building skills
• Confidence working with secondary-aged pupils
• Ability to adapt your approach to meet different needs
• Good teamwork and a professional attitude
• Enhanced DBS on the Update Service, or willingness to obtain one

Applicants with transferable skills and backgrounds are encouraged to apply. This could include experience in support work, childcare, social work, sports coaching, healthcare, youth work, mentoring, care or other people-focused roles.
Previous school experience is helpful but is not essential where you can demonstrate relevant transferable skills.
