About the role
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Scheduler to join a leading aerospace manufacturing organisation undergoing significant investment and operational transformation.
Working within a highly regulated manufacturing environment, you will be responsible for developing and executing short-term production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer demand, material availability and operational priorities. This is a key role focused on production flow, schedule adherence, work order management and cross-functional coordination across Operations, Materials, Quality and Supply Chain teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Create and manage detailed 1-2 week production schedules aligned to the Master Production Schedule (MPS).
- Release work orders and ensure material, documentation and resource readiness.
- Monitor production performance, managing bottlenecks, constraints and recovery plans.
- Re-prioritise and re-sequence work orders to maintain delivery commitments.
- Coordinate with Procurement, Stores and Quality to resolve material shortages and WIP issues.
- Support recovery of past-due orders through expediting and proactive planning.
- Track schedule adherence and drive continuous improvement initiatives.
- Maintain ERP/MRP data integrity, planning parameters and production master data.
- Provide regular updates on production risks, capacity constraints and recovery actions.
About You
- Experience in Production Scheduling, Production Control, Planning or Shop Floor Coordination within a manufacturing environment.
- Strong understanding of ERP/MRP systems and production planning processes.
- Ability to analyse data, manage changing priorities and solve operational challenges.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to work across multiple functions.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to data accuracy.
- Aerospace, engineering, automotive, defence or other complex manufacturing experience would be advantageous.
