Location: Bedhampton, Havant
Contract: Long-term PAYE Contract (with potential for permanent employment)
Shift: Early Shift training before moving to permanent Nights
Night Rate: £23.38 PAYE | £26.78 PAYE + Holiday Pay

Working Hours:

Training Period (Early Shift): Mon-Thu: 06:00-14:15 | Fri: 06:00-12:00

Night Shift: Sun-Wed: 22:00-06:15 | Thu: 22:00-04:00

Due to the nature of the role, applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to comply with ITAR and aerospace export control requirements.

The Opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Test Technician to join a leading aerospace manufacturer, testing hydraulic and mechanical valve assemblies used across civil and military aircraft.

You'll move onto a permanent Night Shift, supporting critical testing activities within a highly regulated aerospace environment, following an initial training period on the Early Shift.

What You'll Be Doing

• Operate pressure and fuel test rigs
• Carry out internal and external leak testing
• Verify torque settings, pressures and flow rates
• Shim and adjust components to achieve required cracking pressures
• Read and follow engineering drawings, specifications and test procedures
• Record test data and maintain product traceability
• Raise and investigate non-conformances
• Work to aerospace quality standards, including DESAR requirements
• Support 5S, TPM and continuous improvement activities

What You'll Need to Succeed

Essential

• Experience using pressure or fuel test rigs
• Experience testing hydraulic systems, valves or mechanical assemblies
• Knowledge of leak testing, torque verification and flow measurement
• Experience carrying out shimming and mechanical adjustments
• Ability to read engineering drawings and technical documentation
• Understanding of quality documentation and non-conformance processes
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality

Desirable

• Aerospace, Defence or MOD experience
• Experience testing fuel systems or valve assemblies
• Knowledge of DESAR working practices
• Experience working within Lean manufacturing environments

Pay Rates (Level 2)

• Basic: £17.58 | £20.13 inc. holiday
• Early Shift (+10%): £19.34 | £22.15 inc. holiday
• Late Shift (+25%): £21.97 | £25.17 inc. holiday
• Night Shift (+33%): £23.38 | £26.78 inc. holiday
• OT x1.5: £26.37 | £30.20 inc. holiday
• OT x2: £35.15 | £40.27 inc. holiday
