About the role
Our client is currently seeking several Geotechnical Site Investigation Engineers to join their team on a contract basis. The role involves leading and implementing geotechnical solutions involving sonic and rotary cored boreholes, machine-dug trial pits, and CPTs.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conducting and supervising site investigations to collect and analyse data on ground conditions
- Designing, planning, and implementing geotechnical solutions for various projects
- Preparing detailed technical reports and recommendations based on site investigation findings
- Collaborating with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure successful project completion
- Providing expertise on geotechnical risk assessment and mitigation strategies
- Ensuring all health and safety protocols are followed during site activities
- Managing and overseeing on-site geotechnical projects, including boreholes and trial pits
- Logging rock cores with a focus on significant rock core logging experience, ideally Karst Limestone
Job Requirements:
- Experience in geotechnical engineering within cross-sectoral projects
- Proficiency in conducting and supervising site investigations, including sonic and rotary cored boreholes
- Strong understanding of geotechnical design principles and relevant software
- SMSTS or SSSTS certification for supervisory roles
- CSCS certification
- CAT and Genny training
- First Aid - 3 day ideally
- Asbestos awareness training
- Banksman training for any supervisory roles
- Manual Handling certification
- Medical/fitness to work assessments
Additional Information:
- Provisional start date: w/c 07/09/26 with site work approximately from 7th September to early November
- Office familiarisation and vehicle training in the first week, followed by site work
- The contract duration is approximately 2 months, with some staff start dates potentially staggered
- Looking for Rig Supervisors and Loggers
