Telecoms Commissioning Engineer
Summary
We’re working with a major EPC company looking for an experienced Telecoms Commissioning Engineer for a significant project based in North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for professionals with telecoms commissioning experience in large industrial environments, seeking stability in a 12‑month contract.

Location: North Wales
Working arrangement: On‑site
Contract duration: 12 months

Our client is a leading engineering, procurement and construction company delivering complex projects across multiple sectors. They are recognised for technical excellence and commitment to industry standards.
Responsibilities
Develop and implement testing and commissioning procedures for telecom systems
Verify installations in collaboration with engineering and construction teams
Ensure compliance with project specifications and industry regulations
Produce detailed commissioning reports and required documentation
Support system integration and resolve technical issues during handover
Maintain effective communication with vendors for technical assistance
Must‑have Requirements
Proven track record in commissioning telecom systems on large industrial or EPC projects
Strong knowledge of telecom technologies including fibre optics, PABX, VoIP, CCTV, PA/GA systems and radios
Familiarity with relevant safety and industry standards
Ability to interpret complex engineering drawings and technical documentation
Excellent problem‑solving skills and team collaboration abilities
Nice‑to‑have Skills
Prior experience in oil & gas, power generation or similar sectors
Knowledge of commissioning management tools and software
Formal telecoms or electrical engineering certification
