Job Title
Control & Instrumentation Commissioning EngineerSummary
We’re seeking an experienced Control & Instrumentation Commissioning Engineer to support a major EPC project based on-site in North Wales. This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer with strong commissioning expertise to join a long-term assignment and play a key role in project delivery.
Salary
Approx. 12 Months Contract – Inside IR35
Location and Working Pattern
North Wales – on-site working.

Responsibilities
Execute commissioning and testing for control and instrumentation (C&I) systems.
Carry out loop checks, functional testing, and system validation.
Implement and monitor commissioning procedures and schedules.
Identify and resolve technical issues during commissioning activities.
Maintain compliance with all health, safety, and environmental standards.
Produce commissioning documentation, progress reports and certificates.
Liaise with engineering and project teams to achieve commissioning targets.
Must-have Requirements
Proven track record in commissioning C&I systems within EPC or large industrial projects.
Strong technical understanding of control systems, instrumentation devices, and DCS/PLC systems.
Ability to read and interpret P&IDs, loop diagrams, and instrumentation schedules.
Comprehensive knowledge of industry regulations and safety procedures.
Nice-to-have Skills
Familiarity with leading control systems such as Siemens, Honeywell or ABB.
Experience in hazardous area equipment and ATEX standards.
ECS/CCNSG Safety Passport or equivalent certification.
