Pink Tile Education is recruiting Pupil Mentors to join a specialist SEND school in Cranleigh, supporting pupils with a range of additional needs, including autism, communication needs and associated learning difficulties.
This is a rewarding role focused on engagement, relationships and individual support, helping pupils overcome barriers and make progress both inside and outside the classroom.
The Role
Providing 1:1 and small-group support throughout the school day.
Helping pupils engage with learning and school activities.
Building trusting relationships and acting as a positive role model.
Supporting emotional wellbeing, confidence and independence.
Encouraging positive behaviour and helping pupils manage challenges.
Working closely with teachers and the wider support team to meet individual needs.
About You
We’re looking for someone who is:
Experienced working with children or young people with SEN, SEND or additional needs.
Calm, patient and resilient.
Confident building strong, trusting relationships.
Positive and supportive in their approach.
Passionate about helping young people reach their potential.
A driver with access to a vehicle, due to the school’s rural location.
Experience in education, care, youth work, support work or similar settings would be beneficial.
