Are you passionate about supporting young people who may display challenging behaviour or have Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs?
We are seeking dedicated and resilient Learning Support Assistants to join a specialist educational setting in Portsmouth from September. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a real difference to the lives of children and young people who require additional support to engage with education and achieve their full potential.
Responsibilities:

Supporting students with SEMH needs within the classroom.
Promoting positive behaviour and emotional regulation.
Building strong, trusting relationships with students.
Working closely with teaching staff and other professionals.
Encouraging student engagement, confidence and independence.

What we’re looking for:

Experience working with challenging behaviour, SEMH, SEND, youth work, care or support work.
Strong communication and relationship-building skills.
Patience, resilience and a positive attitude.
A genuine passion for supporting young people.

What we offer:

£14.25 per hour.
Full-time hours with part-time applications considered.
