Learning Support Assistant – SEMH Setting📍 Havant💷 £14.25 per hour📅 September Start📄 Temporary to Permanent
Do you have experience supporting children or young people with behavioural, emotional or additional learning needs?
We are recruiting Learning Support Assistants for a specialist provision in Havant. The role involves supporting students who may have SEMH needs and require additional encouragement, structure and guidance throughout the school day.
This position would suit candidates with backgrounds in education, care, youth work, residential support, coaching or mental health support.
Key duties include:

Providing one-to-one and small group support.
Managing and de-escalating challenging behaviour.
Supporting social and emotional development.
Helping students access learning opportunities.
Encouraging positive outcomes and achievements.

Requirements:

Experience working with children or vulnerable adults.
Ability to remain calm under pressure.
Strong behaviour management skills.
A proactive and supportive approach.

Benefits:
