1:1 Teaching Assistant

A supportive primary school in Warwick seeks a dedicated 1:1 Teaching Assistant for a full‑time September start. You provide calm, structured support for a vulnerable child who benefits from stability, clear routines and patient guidance. Moreover, you help them feel safe, understood and ready to learn. In addition, you follow direction from the class teacher and SENCO to deliver consistent support throughout the day.

Key Responsibilities of a 1:1 teaching assistant:

• Provide 1:1 SEND support for a vulnerable pupil
• Use clear routines to create stability and reduce anxiety
• Deliver targeted interventions that follow agreed plans
• Prepare adapted learning tasks to meet individual needs
• Support positive behaviour approaches through calm communication
• Work closely with teachers, the SENCO and support staff to maintain consistent provision

What We’re Looking For

• A qualified or experienced Teaching Assistant
• Strong SEND experience supporting vulnerable pupils
• Clear communication and a patient, nurturing approach
• Ability to maintain consistency and follow structured routines
• Full‑time Monday to Friday availability from September
• Interest in Warwick‑based SEND roles
