About the role

Senior In Service Support Manager

Do you have experience managing complex In-Service Support or Contractor Logistics Support (CLS) contracts and the leadership skills to deliver critical maritime and defence capabilities to performance, cost and time?

As a Senior In Service Support Manager, you will join the Services Division at TKMS ATLAS UK, taking responsibility for managing several mid-to-large-sized CLS contracts. Working closely with Project Managers and multidisciplinary teams, you will ensure that delivered capabilities are maintained and effectively supported throughout their operational life. This is an important role in ensuring customer requirements are achieved while protecting TKMS ATLAS UK’s interests and supporting the continued success of our Services Division.

You will lead the day-to-day management of multiple In-Service Support and CLS projects, acting as a key interface between TKMS ATLAS UK, customers, suppliers and internal stakeholders. You will provide leadership across the support environment, monitor contract performance and ensure projects remain aligned to agreed KPIs, SLAs, cost and schedule.

In this role, you will:

  • Manage several mid-to-large-sized CLS and In-Service Support projects.

  • Ensure KPIs, SLAs, contractual deliverables and customer acceptance requirements are achieved.

  • Lead customer interfaces and contract progress meetings.

  • Monitor project performance against cost, schedule and agreed service requirements.

  • Provide timely reporting and escalation to management on project progress and performance.

  • Coordinate internal stakeholders across Project Management, Engineering, ILS, Operations, Production, Commercial, Procurement, Sub-Contract Management and Quality Assurance.

  • Work with suppliers and subcontractors to ensure requirements are delivered within agreed budgets and schedules.

  • Build strong relationships with customers, end users and suppliers.

  • Provide leadership and direction to support teams and build customer confidence.

  • Identify and resolve issues quickly, maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and business objectives.

  • Support Project, Programme and Bid Management activities where required.

  • Travel occasionally to other UK and overseas sites.

We are looking for someone who:

  • Has a strong understanding of In-Service Support, ideally within a Defence or Maritime environment.

  • Has experience managing complex projects, particularly within a Services or support environment, with formal project management qualifications being advantageous.

  • Can demonstrate knowledge of CLS/ILS processes and performance-based contracts.

  • Has strong commercial awareness and understands how to balance customer requirements with business objectives.

  • Has the leadership capability to manage teams, build confidence and bring stakeholders together to achieve objectives.

  • Is highly organised and able to manage multiple projects, priorities, budgets and schedules effectively.

  • Has excellent written, verbal and interpersonal communication skills, with the confidence to engage customers and senior management.

Experience with SAP ERP, the full Product Life Cycle, Project/Programme Management or Bid Management would be advantageous. Training and development relating to the specific role will be provided where required.
