Salary up to £55k basic + benefits
We are looking for an Electrical Engineer to join a growing engineering team delivering bespoke low-voltage power distribution and switchgear solutions. Working across a variety of projects, you will be involved in design, project delivery, testing and commissioning while collaborating closely with manufacturing, installation and commercial teams.
Key Responsibilities
Design & Engineering
- Develop detailed electrical designs and schematics for LV switchgear systems.
- Produce functional design specifications for protection and control systems.
- Ensure designs comply with applicable industry regulations and safety standards.
- Prepare technical submissions, operating manuals and maintenance documentation.
Project Delivery
- Manage projects from design through to installation and commissioning.
- Coordinate activities with clients, suppliers, contractors and internal teams.
- Support and attend FAT and SAT testing activities.
- Work within agreed project budgets and timescales.
- Report project progress and identify potential risks or issues.
Technical Support
- Work closely with estimating teams to develop customer concepts into engineered solutions.
- Provide technical support to sales, manufacturing and project teams.
- Assist in delivering practical and cost-effective engineering solutions.
Skills & Experience
- Minimum HNC in Electrical Engineering or equivalent.
- Proficiency with CAD packages such as AutoCAD Electrical, EPLAN, ETAP SEE Electrical or similar.
- Strong understanding of electrical schematics and panel layouts.
- Knowledge of BS7671 wiring regulations, BS EN 61439 and related IEC standards.
- Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.
- Right to work in the UK.
